What is it?
Again this summer, Pembroke Academy is pleased to offer the Pushing Your Limits summer program for students entering Pembroke Academy’s freshman class in the fall. Pushing Your Limits is a two-week program designed to address a student’s academic, social and emotional needs, and thereby ease the transition into high school. It is recommended that all prospective freshmen attend the program.
What do we do?
Students will work together on a portion of their summer reading assignments, learn effective study skills, and develop learning habits that will aid with their academic success at P.A. There is a little homework to prepare for some daily activities. In addition, students will have the opportunity to engage in fun activities that will help to develop the self-esteem, teamwork abilities, and problem-solving skills that are important to achieving success throughout high school and beyond. Students will acclimate to the school building and meet students from the four towns that attend Pembroke Academy.
