Alma

Alma

SAU 53 is proud to introduce Alma – our new Student Information and Learning Management System! After an exhaustive search to replace our current system, MMS, Alma was the clear choice and will allow our districts to live our vision of a Competency Based Education that personalizes learning for students. Alma is built on a competency platform, will provide real-time updates on student progress, and ensures that students are being measured by a clear and agreed upon set of standards. We are pleased to have this tool at our disposal and are excited for you to get acquainted with it as parents and students.

Little Shop of Horrors

“Little Shop of Horrors” opens Friday night!!! In a decade not too long ago, in a city that seems all too familiar, a young florist has found a strange and unusual plant. After naming it after the girl that he is pining for, will Seymour ignore the signs that maybe this little plant is more than expected? Come see the show Friday and Saturday at 7pm or Sunday at 2pm. Tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the door. Please see any PA Player, Ms. Parkinson, or Mrs. Braggins for tickets.

PA Wellness Day

On May 17th, our school day will provide an opportunity for your son or daughter to participate in the second annual PA Wellness Day. This is an early release schedule filled with a wide variety of enriching activities for students to enjoy, while at the same time enhancing their physical, mental and social health. While actual registration won’t take place until May 1st for seniors and juniors, and May 2nd for sophomores and freshmen, the schedule for the day’s events is now posted on the school’s website and we hope that you will review all that is being offered. In the event of rain we will not reschedule Wellness Day. Thank you in advance for encouraging your son or daughter to begin planning a fun-filled morning for themselves on May 17th.
